Role Overview\n\nThe Internal Audit Officer at Caritas Microfinance Bank is responsible for conducting independent and objective audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the bank's risk management framework, compliance programs, internal controls, and governance processes.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n* Participate in the development of a risk-based annual audit plan and prepare audit programs for specific assignments.\n* Develop audit tests to meet objectives, execute engagements according to auditing standards, and document evidence in detailed working papers.\n* Perform quality audits and produce timely reports with practical, agreed-upon corrective actions.\n* Track management actions to ensure effective implementation and engage stakeholders on corrective measures.\n* Conduct special audits or investigations as required by management.\n* Evaluate the enterprise risk management framework and suggest improvements.\n* Use data analysis for periodic testing of bank transactions to identify irregularities.\n* Lead branch surprise checks and cash counts to ensure physical security of assets.\n* Perform other duties aligned with organizational goals.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n\n* Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.\n* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Finalist. CIA qualifications are a distinct advantage.\n* Minimum of 3 (three) years of hands-on experience in internal auditing within a financial institution or a professional audit firm.\n* In-depth knowledge of IFRSs, IIA Standards, and the banking industry regulatory framework.\n* Proficiency in data analytics, problem-solving, and strong report writing, presentation, and communication skills.\n* High level of integrity, results-oriented, strong multitasking abilities, self-driven, and a fast learner with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.\n\n### How to Apply\n\nInterested candidates who meet the criteria above are encouraged to send their application letters and detailed CVs to .
