The ICT Infrastructure Manager, reporting to the Group Head of IT, is responsible for leading the delivery, support, and optimization of the Group’s ICT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments. The role ensures high availability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness while directing day-to-day operations of the ICT Infrastructure Team to deliver efficient, effective, and best-value ICT services.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Operations & Reliability: Lead proactive monitoring, maintenance and support of infrastructure to maximise uptime for core systems. Implement performance reporting frameworks and remediation plans to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Infrastructure Planning & Delivery: Lead design, implementation and optimisation of infrastructure including data centres, servers, storage, networks (LAN/WAN/SD-WAN) and enterprise communications across the Group.
- Enterprise Database & Storage: Manage enterprise database and storage infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring performance optimisation, high availability, backup/recovery, data integrity, replication and capacity planning to support business continuity requirements.
- Hybrid-Cloud Management: Lead hybrid/multi-cloud environment management, driving FinOps cost optimisation, security posture management and cloud-native technology adoption.
- Security & Compliance: Implement network security controls based on Zero Trust architecture, including firewalls, endpoint protection, vulnerability management and compliance monitoring aligned with ISO 27001 and regulatory requirements.
- Risk & Business Continuity: Lead risk management activities including root cause analysis, incident escalations, disaster recovery planning and business continuity assurance to minimise operational disruptions.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Negotiate and manage vendor relationships, enforce SLAs, conduct performance reviews and ensure contracted deliverables meet business requirements.
- Strategic Planning & Documentation: Develop business cases, technical RFPs, project plans and infrastructure specifications covering compute resources, network architecture, licensing and capacity forecasting.
- Team Leadership & Development: Build and develop a high-performing infrastructure team through coaching, performance management, skills development and career progression planning.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Knowledge/Skills and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field of study.
- Minimum of 6 Years of relevant experience, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
Desirable knowledge/skills and Experience Required:
- Professional qualifications in any of the following areas will be an added advantage: PMP, TOGAF, ITIL & CISM.
