As an HR Officer, you will serve as the primary human resources point of contact for client organizations. This role involves building and maintaining strong advisory-based partnerships with client leadership, conducting HR audits, and managing the full employee lifecycle for diverse client portfolios. You will ensure that all HR practices are not only efficient but also fully compliant with Kenyan labor laws.
Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Partnership: Act as the primary HR point of contact for client organizations and maintain strong relationships with client leadership teams.
Audits & Compliance: Conduct thorough HR audits and compliance reviews, providing actionable recommendations to ensure statutory alignment.
Recruitment: Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for client roles, from sourcing to selection.
Employee Management: Oversee onboarding processes, performance management systems, and various employee engagement initiatives.
Employee Relations: Manage employee relations matters professionally, ensuring adherence to national labor laws.
Payroll & Benefits Support: Support payroll alignment, perform compensation benchmarking, and ensure the timely processing of statutory remittances.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
Experience: 2–3 years of professional HR experience, ideally with previous exposure to HR consulting.
Professional Membership: Valid and mandatory membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
Certification: CHRP qualification is considered a distinct advantage.
Legal Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and compliance frameworks.
Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, advisory, and relationship management abilities.
