African Labour Solutions (ALS) is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Head of Sales for a client in the interior design and wood fit-out sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, implementing strategic sales plans, and leading a high-performing sales team. This role requires a professional with deep industry knowledge in wood products and fit-outs to effectively navigate residential, commercial, and corporate market segments.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives. Drive aggressive but sustainable revenue targets across projects and product lines.
Pipeline Management: Oversee the full sales pipeline from lead generation to project closure, ensuring accurate forecasting and consistent deal conversion. Monitor sales performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and departmental targets. Establish performance KPIs, conduct regular reviews, and foster a high-performance culture.
Business Development: Identify new business opportunities within residential, commercial, and corporate segments. Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, contractors, developers, and key decision-makers.
Account Management: Strengthen relationships with high-value clients to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to maximize profitability.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, pricing benchmarks, and competitor strategies. Provide strategic insights to support product positioning.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with project, production, and design teams to ensure seamless project handovers and high levels of client satisfaction.
Budgeting: Prepare and manage the departmental sales budget to optimize cost efficiency and ROI. Provide regular performance reports to senior management.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 7+ years' experience in Sales and Team Management.
Mandatory: Proven experience in wood products, interior design, fit-outs, or a closely related industry.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and business development skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
