Maseno University is seeking to recruit nine (9) Flower Attendants on a fixed-term basis. This role is essential for maintaining the university's aesthetic appeal through the care and maintenance of floral and ornamental landscapes.
Terms of Service
The positions are offered on a Fixed Term Contract, non-renewable for a maximum period of six (6) months.
Responsibilities
While specific daily tasks are managed by the grounds department, the role generally involves:
Planting, watering, and nurturing flowers and ornamental plants.
Pruning, weeding, and mulching garden beds to ensure health and appearance.
Applying fertilizers and necessary pest control measures.
General maintenance and cleanliness of garden paths and landscaped areas.
Safe operation and maintenance of basic gardening tools.
Requirements
Relevant academic or professional certificates demonstrating suitability for gardening work.
Submission of an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Academic transcripts (where applicable).
