The Field Service Engineer - Rotary role at Sidel involves managing the full lifecycle of equipment installation, qualification, and performance evaluation at customer sites, adhering strictly to technical, contractual, and safety specifications. This role requires extensive field service experience, especially with high-speed rotary filling machines, and a strong technical background in mechanical and electrical engineering.
Your Mission (Responsibilities)
- Installation, Qualification & Testing, and evaluation of equipment performance at customer plants, based on technical, contractual, and safety specifications.
- Operation on Mechanical systems and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for regular activities and troubleshooting as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Execution of electrical work, such as cable wiring.
- Proper handling, checking, and transfer of equipment non-conformities.
- Preparation of Job Progress Charts and detailed technical reports in reference to carried-out activities.
- Ensuring ultimate internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Performing activities in line with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Sidel coordination plan, and customer rules.
- Reporting after-sales opportunities detected on the Customer site.
- Coaching junior colleagues on on-site behavior, technical activities, troubleshooting, and reporting deliverables.
- Reporting to the Installation Site Manager regarding team site activities.
Your Profile (Qualifications and Skills)
Level of Education and Language:
- Graduate of Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering / Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent (BA/BSc/HND).
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Level of Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in field service.
- Proven experience in high speed rotary filling machines.
- Experience in different applications is an advantage, including:
- CSD (Carbonated)
- HR (Hot Filling)
- PH (Preferential heating)
- Aseptic technology
- Plasma coating technology PET
- Proficiency in operating on Mechanical systems and HMIs for troubleshooting.
- Ability to execute electrical wiring work.
- Strong organizational and reporting skills (Job Progress Chart, technical reports).
- Commitment to safety specifications and customer satisfaction.
