As a Field Collection Team Lead at Mogo Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing the field agents and managing the debt collection processes. Your primary goal is to provide leadership, coordinate daily performance, and ensure team members have the necessary support to meet organizational goals.
Role Purpose
The Field Collection Team Lead ensures that recovery targets are met through effective management of field agents, adherence to debt collection policies, and consistent performance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership to team members by communicating goals, motivating staff, and addressing any internal issues.
Case Management: Assign cases for field visits to field agents and monitor their daily performance.
Support & Training: Assist with the induction and training of new hires in the Debt Collection department. Identify training needs and recommend external programs where necessary.
Performance Management: Drive strong performance through clear communication of expectations and adherence to collection policies.
Meetings & Communication: Conduct regular team meetings to update members on process changes, target achievements, and expectations.
System Monitoring: Monitor and train agents on the usage of Field Collection tools and the company’s ERP System.
Reporting: Generate and share detailed reports regarding team performance and ensure daily repossessed assets (e.g., bikes) align with Redash reports and system records.
Process Improvement: Propose and submit suggestions for improvements in the debt collection process.
Requirements
Experience: At least four (4) years of relevant experience in debt collection or field operations.
Education: A Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or a related field.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must be fluent in both English and Swahili.
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly.
Leadership: Proven leadership skills with a high degree of loyalty and integrity.
