We are currently looking for a passionate English and Drama Teacher to join our faculty and contribute to the academic and creative growth of our students at the secondary level.
Role Overview
The English and Drama Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons at GCSE and A Level. The successful candidate will align their teaching with Edexcel or Cambridge International curriculum requirements and the core values of the school. Beyond the classroom, this role involves significant involvement in school productions and enrichment activities.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality English and Drama lessons for GCSE and A-Level students.
Align instructional practices with Edexcel or Cambridge International curriculum standards.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture that encourages curiosity and creativity.
Prepare students for external examinations through clear instruction, structured practice, and constructive feedback.
Assess, track, and report on student progress to inform teaching and individual support.
Direct dynamic and creative student productions and support Primary School productions.
Integrate local culture and context where appropriate to enrich the drama learning experience.
Maintain high standards of professionalism, classroom behavior, and safeguarding at all times.
Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborative planning with colleagues.
Qualifications & Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in English, Drama, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field.
A professional teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, PGCE, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Previous experience teaching Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE / GCSE Drama is highly desired.
Strong knowledge of international teaching pedagogy and assessment methods.
Proven experience in directing student-led theatrical productions.
