ISM Containers is seeking a motivated and experienced registered Electrical Engineer to join our team in Nairobi. ISM Containers specializes in shipping container conversion and modular building constructions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems, making improvements to existing systems, and managing control equipment.
Responsibilities
Designing and implementing electrical systems for container conversions and modular buildings.
Scheduling electrical construction and maintenance projects to ensure timely completion.
Reviewing electrical engineering plans, specifications, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
Conducting rigorous tests and inspections of electrical systems and equipment.
Collaborating effectively with other engineers and technicians on project sites.
Repairing and performing quality control of electrical equipment.
Providing specialized electrical engineering support to assigned projects.
Providing technical leadership and guidance to employees and contractors.
Requirements
Must be a REGISTERED Electrical Engineer.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 6 years of experience as an electrical engineer with specific experience in electrical systems design.
Familiarity with a wide range of electrical systems and equipment.
Deep understanding of electrical engineering safety standards.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in relevant engineering software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
Highly developed attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
