This role involves serving as an ECG / Echocardiography Technologist at St. Luke’s Orthopaedic and Trauma Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and accurately interpreting cardiovascular diagnostic procedures, specifically Electrocardiograms (ECG) and Echocardiography (ECHO). This includes ensuring equipment is properly maintained and records are meticulous, all while adhering to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret routine ECG recordings accurately and timely.
- Conduct echocardiography (ECHO) examinations as per clinical requests.
- Prepare patients appropriately for ECG and ECHO procedures.
- Ensure proper operation, care, and maintenance of ECG/ECHO equipment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and reports.
- Adhere to hospital policies, professional standards, and infection prevention guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with clinicians and other healthcare professionals.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Higher Diploma in ECG / Echocardiography or a related cardiovascular technology field from a recognized institution.
- Valid professional registration and practicing license.
- Demonstrated competence in ECG and echocardiography procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and patient-centered care.
- At least 2–3 years relevant working experience in a hospital setting will be an added advantage.
