Job Description
The role of the Driver at Kimisitu Investment Company Limited (KICL) is crucial for ensuring smooth logistical operations, reliable transportation of staff and official visitors, and diligent maintenance of company vehicles.
Purpose of the Job
To provide timely transport services, ensure consistent maintenance of company vehicles, and guarantee the safety and security of vehicles both on and off the road.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Logistics Support
Plan ahead effectively to meet transport requirements.
Safely drive staff and official visitors to required destinations.
Handle company goods with care and precision during transit.
Vehicle Maintenance
Perform routine inspection and cleaning of assigned vehicles.
Monitor and track vehicle licenses, insurance, and necessary renewals.
Ensure safe and responsible driving practices.
Administrative Tasks
Accurately maintain comprehensive vehicle logs and process requisitions.
Run office errands and banking tasks as required.
Report accidents or incidents promptly following company protocol.
Other Duties
Provide support for various office and marketing activities.
Assist in field walkthroughs and inspections when necessary.
Perform additional assigned duties as directed.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Qualifications
Minimum Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) education.
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Possession of a BCE / ABCE driving license held for five (5) or more years.
Experience & Skills
A minimum of three (3) years of corporate driving experience is required.
Excellent knowledge of Nairobi and upcountry routes.
Fluency in both English and Kiswahili.
Must demonstrate qualities of a team player.
