Role Overview
Trócaire was established in 1973 as a charity to express the concern of the Irish Catholic Church for people living in the world’s poorest regions. The Digital Systems Analyst is responsible for the administration, management, and continuous improvement of Trócaire's enterprise systems, specifically focusing on Salesforce and Unit4 (Agresso). This role involves ensuring optimal system performance, security, and alignment with organizational goals through technical expertise and project management.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration
- Administer and manage enterprise systems (Salesforce and Unit4 Agresso) to ensure optimal performance, security, and configuration.
- Maintain and update Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) matrices for these platforms.
- Keep detailed documentation regarding system configuration and access management.
Enterprise Systems Design and Improvement
- Provide technical and functional expertise for the enhancement of enterprise systems.
- Perform in-depth analysis of existing systems to identify optimization opportunities.
- Develop and propose improvements to system functionality, workflows, and user experience.
- Create technical specifications for enhancements and new feature implementations.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for potential application within Trócaire.
Project Management
- Lead and manage enterprise system improvement projects from conception to implementation.
- Develop project plans including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and conduct impact assessments and change management planning.
- Monitor project metrics to drive continuous improvement.
User Support and Training
- Provide backup support for monitoring Digital Services helpdesk functions.
- Ensure seamless resolution of incidents and requests during primary staff absence.
- Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to resolve critical system issues.
- Conduct targeted application training to maintain system user proficiency.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the Head of Enterprise Systems.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Qualification: BA/BSc/HND in Information Technology or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in IT Services or an IT Support role.
- Technical Proficiency: Specific experience with Salesforce (administration, configuration, or development) or Unit4 Business World (Agresso). Experience with both is highly desirable.
- Frameworks: Experience providing IT Service Delivery using the ITIL framework.
- Industry: Previous experience with software applications in an NGO or non-profit environment is highly desirable.
