Yellow Pages Kenya, a full-service digital agency with over 30 years of experience across Africa, is seeking a results-oriented Debt Collector. The primary objective of this role is to recover loans in microfinance or money-lending environments, follow up on overdue accounts, and negotiate repayments to drive overall recovery performance. This is a commission-based position offering high earning potential for high-performing professionals.
Role Overview
In this position, you will be responsible for tracking and recovering overdue payments, managing relationships with debtors professionally, and ensuring the company meets its financial recovery targets.
Key Responsibilities
Follow up on overdue accounts and negotiate repayment arrangements with debtors.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities.
Resolve payment issues and disputes in a professional and efficient manner.
Work closely with internal teams to align on strategies and meet recovery targets.
Requirements and Qualifications
2–3 years of proven experience in debt collection, credit control, customer service, or a related field.
Previous experience working within microfinance institutions, money lending companies, SACCOs, fintech lenders, or specialized collections environments is a strong advantage.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and ethically.
