Role Overview
Kibabii University is offering internship opportunities to gain practical experience in the field of Corporate Communication and Marketing. This program is specifically designed for unemployed Kenyan youth to bridge the gap between academic training and the professional work environment, providing hands-on exposure to public relations, marketing strategies, and institutional communication within a public university setting.
Key Responsibilities
While specific duties are tailored to the department's needs, interns in this role generally assist with:
Supporting the development and execution of marketing campaigns and institutional branding.
Assisting in public relations activities and engaging with media stakeholders.
Drafting and editing internal and external communication materials including newsletters and press releases.
Managing and updating the university's official social media platforms and website content.
Coordinating university events, workshops, and official functions.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's Degree in any of the following disciplines: Marketing, Public Relations, Communication and Media, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Status: Must be an unemployed Kenyan citizen aged between 20 and 35 years.
Eligibility: Candidates must not have previously benefited from a similar internship programme.
Graduation: Must have completed training and graduated with documentary proof of qualification (certificates and transcripts).

Certified copies of academic and professional certificates and testimonials.
PIN certificate.
Copy of National Social Security Fund (NSSF) card.
Social Health Authority (SHA) registration details.
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Valid personal insurance cover.
A recommendation letter from professional or academic referees.
