Clinical Officers - Emergency Medicine and Critical Care

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and critical care services through rapid patient assessment and diagnosis.
• Deliver immediate treatment for acute and life-threatening conditions.
• Ensure timely medical interventions and patient stabilization.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and adhere to hospital clinical protocols.
• Manage patient care across both the Outpatient Department (OPD) and inpatient units.
• Collaborate effectively with the medical team to ensure seamless patient transitions and care delivery.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
• Specialization: Higher Diploma in Emergency and Critical Care.
• Licensing: Must be registered with the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya with a valid and up-to-date practicing license.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience specifically in a high-volume casualty or emergency unit.
• Scope of Care: Demonstrated experience in both Outpatient Department (OPD) and inpatient care environments.
• Certifications: Must possess valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) training certificates.
• Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and superior teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
