The ideal candidate is a "hunter" with a deep understanding of the advertising landscape and a proven ability to close high-value contracts with corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Generation & Sales
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the corporate sector, focusing on retail, FMCG, and telecommunications.
- Pitch and sell EMA’s core services: Social Media Management, Influencer Marketing, Performance Marketing, Creative Production, and brand activation.
- Develop and present winning proposals and high-impact presentations to C-suite executives and Brand Managers.
Strategic Partnerships
- Build and manage performance-based partnerships that deliver measurable ROI for clients.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) that align with agency profitability and client satisfaction.
Market & Regional Expansion
- Research and enter new market segments within Kenya and our regional hubs in Uganda, Rwanda, DRC, and Zambia.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, specifically in "Route-to-Market" strategies and digital transformation.
Relationship Management
- Nurture lifelong relationships with stakeholders, embodying our core value of dependability.
- Collaborate with the creative and digital teams to ensure client briefs are responded to with innovative and effective solutions.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Development or Account Management within an advertising or digital agency (3-8 years range overall).
- Diploma holders with significant relevant experience are also eligible to apply.
- A strong network of contacts within the Kenyan and regional corporate marketing space.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Digital Fluency: Solid understanding of Social Media algorithms, Influencer Marketing metrics (Reach, Engagement, VTR), and SEO/SEM.
- Negotiation: Proven ability to handle complex negotiations and close large-scale deals.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret market data and client needs into actionable growth strategies.
