This role is for a Branch Manager in Naivasha, tasked with driving revenue growth in the targeted business, enhancing the company's visibility and presence in the region, and creating strong stakeholder value. This is achieved by overseeing efficient resource utilization and maintaining a customer-centric focus across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of Intermediary relationships (broker, banks & independent agents) and clients to deliver targeted premium outputs across all subsidiaries.
- Provide leadership and support to the staff, sales and marketing team by driving the implementation of the corporate strategy, through training and motivation to achieve the organizational objectives.
- Organize and represent the company in all relevant forums, such as cooperative societies AGMs, leaders’ meetings, and seminars, while conducting Business promotions in liaison with PR staff.
- Manage the business pipeline, process quotations, and transmit them to the intermediaries & clients within set Turnaround Times (TATs).
- Enforce credit control compliance and debt management standards.
- Draw up and operationalize Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with intermediaries for differentiated service delivery and resolve all customer complaints/inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Adhere to inter-departmental service level standards in liaison with business leaders across all Group subsidiaries and support the daily branch operations, including sales processing, policy issuance, and claims handling.
- Follow up on renewals to achieve required renewal retention ratios.
- Champion cross-selling for corporate and retail business and support the opening up of new markets and distribution channels, including local check offs for Ordinary Life.
- Identify and facilitate Branch staff Resourcing requirements, including recruitment, appraisal, career development, succession, and resource planning, in liaison with the People and Culture department.
- Coordinate all intermediary activities as they monitor and provide market intelligence to help identify potential for both business acquisition and strategic planning.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team as well as grow their intermediary portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Generic Duties
- Carry out performance appraisal, coaching and mentoring staff.
- Participate in planning and budgeting for the department.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Relevant Professional Qualification.
- Minimum of six (6) years’ relevant experience in a similar position, two (2) of which must be at a supervisory level.
