Job Description
Madison Group Limited is a locally owned financial services holding company specializing in insurance and wealth management services. The Group is looking for an Assistant Manager for Business Development specializing in Intermediary Management. This role is focused on expanding market presence and achieving revenue growth through strategic planning and relationship management within the corporate insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Development: Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to expand market presence and achieve revenue growth targets.
Lead Generation: Identify and engage potential clients within the Corporate business sector by leveraging existing networks and developing new leads.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Sales & Proposals: Oversee the development of client presentations, negotiations, and proposal development to secure new business opportunities.
Intermediary Support: Provide training, support, and marketing materials to intermediaries to promote the organization’s Corporate business products and services.
Portfolio Growth: Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing client portfolios.
Collaboration: Partner with product development teams to identify and develop new offerings aligned with client needs.
Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance, track progress against targets, and provide regular reports to the management team.
Partnerships: Collaborate with intermediaries (independent, brokers, and strategic partners) including new Saccos and MFIs to identify joint business opportunities.
Compliance: Adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and insurance standards including KYC/AML and Data Protection Acts.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Insurance or any other business-related field.
At least Five (5) years’ experience in the insurance industry, with demonstrated success in insurance sales, business development and managing client relations.
Professional qualifications in IIK, CII or CIM.
Masters’ will be an added advantage.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for presentations and contract negotiations.
Results-Driven: Focused on achieving business development targets and driving revenue growth.
Financial Knowledge: Understanding of corporate life products, pricing strategies, and financial metrics.
Underwriting Knowledge: Familiarity with underwriting processes and concepts.
