Thamani Sacco Society Ltd, formerly Nithi Tea Growers Sacco Ltd, is a co-operative society registered under the Co-operative Act CAP 12 of 1997, mandated to mobilize members' savings and provide credit services. The Assistant ICT Manager role involves supporting and managing the SACCO's Information and Communication Technology infrastructure, systems, and applications. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of IT services, provide essential user support, and guarantee adherence to ICT policies and data protection standards, with a specific focus on the core Vanguard Financials ERP system.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and system administration for Vanguard Financials ERP.
- Offer ICT user support for hardware, software, network, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade ICT systems, applications, and equipment.
- Support network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, internet connectivity, and system security.
- Manage user access rights, data backups, antivirus controls, and disaster recovery processes.
- Generate system reports and support basic system configurations and troubleshooting.
- Maintain ICT documentation, asset registers, and system records.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers on ICT support, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Support ICT audits, compliance requirements, and SACCO digital initiatives.
- Ensure ICT policies, procedures, and data protection standards are adhered to.
Qualifications, Experience & Competencies
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years' relevant experience in ICT systems, network administration, or ERP support.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Vanguard Financials ERP is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge: Sound knowledge of networking, servers, databases, and basic programming/scripting.
- Certifications: Professional certifications in ICT are an added advantage.
- Attributes: Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills, along with a high level of integrity and ability to work with minimal supervision.
