The Asset Based Finance (ABF) Lead Generator is responsible for achieving agreed targets in line with business objectives through pro-active selling of the bank's products and the provision of excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Lead Generation (60%)
Deliver exceptional sales performance by identifying and meeting customer needs through selling Asset Based Finance (ABF) and cross-selling other Absa Bank products and services.
Provide direct "hands-on" sales support including quality lead generation and effective follow-up to convert leads into sales.
Participate in Asset Based Finance product campaigns by ensuring that the parameters are well explained to customers.
Agree, meet and exceed targets for specific sales campaigns.
Maintain own sales performance statistics for management information usage.
Own and manage ABF products & channel sales targets to contribute towards the direct sales objectives.
Complete account opening documentation together with customers and submit for review.
Complete financial analysis and statement reviews on customer accounts when selling ABF.
Advise customers on loan status updates and handle denials professionally.
Customer Service (15%)
Resolve customer queries and complaints around Asset Based Finance in a timely manner.
Build relationships with internal service providers (ABF Operations, Sanctioners, and DSC) to ensure quick turnaround times.
Advise customers as soon as new loans are approved and encourage draw-downs.
Operational Rigour, Compliance and Controls (15%)
Ensure all activities are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal Absa Policies.
Ensure accuracy of each new account application, ABF loan document, and all other customer documents.
Achieve operational rigour excellence to ensure successful audit results.
Share knowledge and experience with other Lead Generators in the team.
Provide cover for colleagues and deputize for the Line Manager whenever required.
Pursue continued improvement in personal development by participating in training programs.
Requirements
Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC): Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required).
BA/BSc/HND degree qualification.
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
