Kitui County, located 170km South East of Nairobi, is seeking a qualified Artisan III (Masonry). This role is integral to the maintenance and improvement of county infrastructure, specifically focusing on healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will perform various masonry tasks to ensure structures are safe, functional, and meet the necessary hygienic standards for hospital environments.
Responsibilities and Duties
Execute bricklaying, plastering, tiling, and concrete works for new projects and existing structures.
Construction and Repairs:
Facility Maintenance: Conduct repairs on hospital walls, floors, ceilings, pavements, and drainage channels to prevent deterioration.
Renovation Support: Assist in the construction and renovation of hospital-specific structures to expand or improve service delivery.
Hygiene Standards: Ensure all finishes in critical areas such as wards, kitchens, and operating theaters are safe and maintain high hygienic standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
Must be a Citizen of Kenya.
Possession of a Government Trade Test Grade III/II/I in Masonry or a related area of specialization.
A Certificate in Building Technology, Masonry, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
