This is an entry-grade position for the Nairobi City County Public Service Board. The Agricultural Engineer II is responsible for managing agricultural land resources and developing agricultural mechanization and technology within the county.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities
Implement interventions focused on agricultural land resource management.
Prepare technical designs, specifications, and bills of quantities (BOQs) for agriculture infrastructures.
Facilitate training and field trials regarding sustainable agricultural land resource management and associated technologies.
Conduct on-farm trials, demonstrations, and technology transfer related to smart agriculture and sustainable land management.
Participate in feasibility studies to evaluate the viability of agricultural mechanization and development projects.
Perform repairs and maintenance of agricultural machinery and specialized equipment.
Collect and collate data for research, inventories, and technology development reporting.
Compile periodic reports on operational progress.
Requirements
Academic Qualifications
Bachelors of Science or Engineering Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering, Biosystems and Environmental Engineering, or Biosystem Engineering from a recognized institution.
Professional Qualifications
Registration by the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) as a graduate Engineer.
Proficiency in computer applications.

Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on leadership and integrity.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
