We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Lamu. The role involves providing comprehensive clerical and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the department, reporting directly to the HR Manager.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n* : Screen telephone calls, visitors, and incoming correspondences.\n* : Perform duties such as typing, mailing, filing, faxing, and distributing correspondence.\n* : Confirm, encode, and distribute invoices for payment; process timesheets and expense reports while verifying correct charge codes.\n* : Make travel arrangements for mobilizing employees and departmental personnel.\n* : Review outgoing materials and correspondence for internal consistency and conformity with established procedures.\n* : Order and maintain office supplies for the department.\n* : Process paperwork for new hires, including mailing employment packets and typing offer letters.\n\n### Required Qualifications & Experience\n\n* : High school diploma or equivalent (KCSE).\n* : At least two (2) years of experience in the clerical field as an administrative assistant.\n* : Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; typing speed of 50-60 words per minute; ability to operate office machinery (fax, copiers).\n* : Understanding of domestic and international postal and customs practices.\n* : Ability to work independently with strong decision-making skills and professional interaction at all levels.\n* : Experience with PeopleSoft is an added advantage.\n\n### How to Apply\n\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online through the Amentum careers portal at or via the application link provided: .
