About the Role
The Account Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of client lifecycles, from acquisition to completion or termination. You will monitor portfolio performance and ensure all actions align with company policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition
Finding clients: Market and sensitize customers about company products and services.
Client Vetting: Conduct loan vetting (Stage visits, Home visits, and guarantor visits) in alignment with Credit policy.
Documentation: Capture all vetting information in the CRM and obtain system approvals.
Portfolio Management: Maintain a maximum of 200 active leases.
Training and Administration
Educate clients on terms of asset acquisition, guarantor responsibilities, and payment terms (including non-cash tolerance).
Train clients on Maisha Assets Insurance and theft reporting channels.
Update system records and ensure KRA PIN and National IDs are captured.
Disbursement and Loan Management
Inform clients about payment channels and emphasize the NO Cash policy.
Follow up on clients via phone and physical visits to ensure full down payments.
Initiate recovery actions for loans in default or written-off loans.
Handle customer complaint resolution promptly.
Incident Management
Coordinate with clients during accidents, mechanical breakdowns, or asset thefts.
Impound assets from non-responsive clients and handle insurance documentation.
After Sales & Data Management
Communicate new opportunities and retain existing clients.
Maintain records of all customer interactions and agreements.
Requirements
Diploma or equivalent in a Business-related course.
At least 1 year of experience in microfinance is preferred.
Unquestionable degree of integrity and transparency.
MUST have riding competence, preferably Class A2 and B licenses.
Excellent interpersonal skills and high dependability.
