The County Government of Kitui is recruiting sixteen (16) Youth Polytechnic Instructor III positions on Permanent and Pensionable terms. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality theoretical and practical instruction across various vocational trades in Youth Polytechnics within Kitui County.

Salary and Terms

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

Salary Scale: Ksh. 26,900 up to Ksh. 35,380 per month. The increments are structured as follows: Ksh. 26,900 x 1,110 – 28,010 x 1,120 – 29,130 x 1,150 – 30,280 x 1,170 – 31,450 x 1,250 – 32,700 x 1,300 – 34,000 x 1,380 – 35,380 p.m.

Duties and Responsibilities

Working under the supervision of a Senior Youth Polytechnic Instructor, duties and responsibilities will involve:

1. Providing theoretical and practical instruction in the area of specialization.
2. Preparing and maintaining schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, trainee records, teaching, and learning materials.
3. Carrying out trainee assessment.
4. Ensuring proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
5. Conducting co-curricular activities.
6. Maintaining trainees discipline.
7. Guiding and counselling trainees.

Requirements for Appointment

Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Be a Citizen of Kenya.
• Hold a Diploma in any of the following disciplines or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution:
