Role Overview
The Young Professional Officer will support the National Treasury's objectives, specifically focusing on the monitoring and evaluation of financial inclusion and youth development programs. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including government agencies, financial institutions, and development project teams.
Responsibilities
Monitor and evaluate financial inclusion and youth development programs.
Formulate, implement, and monitor macro-economic policies related to expenditure and revenue.
Collaborate with government agencies, financial institutions, and development projects.
Produce high-quality analytical reports and documentation.
Support initiatives in green/climate finance, private sector development, and agricultural finance.
Assist in value chain development and youth employment projects.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Environmental Studies, or Natural Resources Management.
Experience: At least two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in rural development, agriculture, economics, private sector development, rural finance, development policy, or related fields.
Technical Expertise: Experience in green/climate finance, agricultural finance, value chain development, and/or youth employment.
Sector Experience: Previous experience working with government agencies, financial institutions, or development projects is required.
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and report writing skills, along with strong communication and collaboration capabilities.
