The role of Water Technician is based at Baobab Beach Resort & Spa, Africa's Leading Family Resort, located on the world-famous Diani Beach, Kenya. The position is crucial to ensuring that the resort's water systems operate seamlessly and maintain the highest quality standards for our guests, supporting our luxurious coastal experience and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain water treatment systems, boreholes, pumps, and filtration units.
- Perform daily water quality testing to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on all water supply and plumbing systems.
- Monitor and record water production, usage trends, and chemical consumption.
- Respond promptly to water-related breakdowns and emergencies.
- Manage daily operations of the resort's water bottling plant, ensuring hygiene, safety, and production efficiency.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications:
- Diploma/Certificate in Water Technology, Water Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' proven experience in water operations; hospitality experience is an added advantage.
- Strong technical understanding of water treatment, pump mechanics, and plumbing systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
- High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
