The role of the Engineering Technician focuses on the assembly, testing, maintenance, and repair of electric motorcycles and their associated components, including lithium-ion batteries. This position requires strong attention to detail and a passion for electric vehicle technology, ensuring high-quality production and efficient system operation.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Production:
- Assemble electric motorcycles.
- Assemble lithium-ion batteries.
Testing & Diagnostics:
- Conduct electrical and mechanical tests on motors, controllers, batteries, chargers, and other modules.
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot system issues.
- Record test results and report anomalies.
Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electric bikes, batteries, and supporting infrastructure.
- Support field teams during installations, systems deployments, and product testing.
- Provide technical customer support, including field troubleshooting and repairs when required.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and production protocols.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate logs of work performed, test results, and maintenance records.
- Assist in updating SOPs, wiring diagrams, mechanical schematics, and technical documentation.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to understand product specifications and provide feedback on engineering processes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve engineering processes.
Learning and Development:

Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Diploma or certificate (or BA/BSc/HND) in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Passion for electric vehicles and sustainable technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and wiring is a plus.
- Experience in the electric vehicles industry is a plus.
