Role Overview
As a Video Editing & Content Manager Intern at Eword Publishers, you will be responsible for producing and managing the video and digital content that represents the company's brand across online platforms. Your work will include recording, creating and editing general use and promotional social media videos and content. This may include long-form and short-form content for social media, helping the brand build its online presence. This is a role that sits at the intersection of creativity and strategy with critical consideration of how, when, and where content is published to achieve the best results.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing: Edit raw video footage into polished, professional short-form and long-form videos for use on our social media platforms and internal use.
Social Media Content Creation: Plan, produce, and schedule engaging content across Eword's social media platforms, in line with the company's brand voice and content strategy.
Content Calendar Management: Develop and maintain a structured content calendar, ensuring a consistent and timely flow of posts, videos, and announcements across all platforms.
Brand Consistency: Ensure all video and digital content adheres to Eword's visual identity and brand voice, maintaining a consistent and professional presence across all platforms.
Candidate Profile
A creative and digitally fluent individual with strong video editing skills who can take raw footage and turn it into compelling, well-paced content that holds an audience's attention.
Ability to think strategically about content - focusing on purpose, audience reach, and company goals.
Highly organized and proactive, capable of managing a content calendar independently and acting on feedback promptly.
Strong command of written English for writing clear, engaging, and error-free captions.
A proactive learner eager to grow within a publishing environment and shape the digital presence of Eword.
Academic Qualifications
A Diploma, Higher Diploma, or Bachelor's degree from a reputable Kenyan institution.
Specialization in Film & Video Production, Digital Media Production, Mass Communication, Multimedia Arts, Marketing, Public Relations, or Information Technology (Multimedia track).
