Van Sales Representative (FMCG) Role Overview
Pwani Oil is seeking a proactive Van Sales Representative to drive sales and distribution of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) products. This contract role is based in Mombasa and is crucial for meeting sales targets, expanding outlet coverage, and ensuring strong market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sales through van distribution, meeting set targets and expanding outlet coverage within the assigned routes.
Manage sales routes efficiently and build strong relationships with customers to ensure consistent product availability and visibility on the shelves.
Implement company pricing strategies and promotional campaigns effectively, and identify new business opportunities.
Ensure accurate stock management, handle cash and credit transactions responsibly, and maintain secure financial practices.
Ensure the safe and operational maintenance of the sales van.
Submit timely and accurate reports detailing sales performance, stock levels, and market feedback.
Comply fully with all company policies, systems, and operational standards.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and experience:
Minimum KCSE Certificate or equivalent.
1-3 years of experience in FMCG van sales or route-to-market sales is preferred.
Possession of a Valid driving license (Class B/C) with a clean driving record.
A Certificate/Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Business is considered an added advantage.
