Job Description
Job Purpose
The UX/UI Designer is responsible for the development and improvement of client-centric journeys across Loop DFS’ channels, ensuring that experiences are optimized for delivery and meet relevant KPIs. This role involves clear and transparent project planning, balancing strategic and tactical priorities.
You will be at the forefront of research and design for digital platforms across desktop, mobile, API, and more. The design team plays an integral part in gathering insights about the attitudes, emotions, motivations, and behaviors of customers to inspire and inform design. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product management to create category-leading products that deliver value for customers and for Loop DFS.
Key Responsibilities
UX Design
Design aesthetically pleasing mock-ups, flows, and high-resolution production-ready visual layouts for web and mobile.
Participate in assessments of existing experiences/interfaces, leveraging analytics tools and usability/design best practices.
Support strategic experience design practice growth initiatives, which may include areas such as marketing, recruitment, and sales.
Influence and shape product roadmaps and key deliverables.
Customer Discovery
Connect with and understand the needs of the user through relevant questioning and discovery.
Participate in project discovery activities (building a story, competitive research, creating user personas, and helping define the overall ‘heart and soul' of the site or application).
Work with stakeholders to gather and understand design requirements, planning work across all phases of design using a structured approach.
Collaborate with researchers to deliver informed design solutions that are fit for purpose.
Collaborate with developers on solutions and design handovers.
Customer Insights
Conduct stakeholder research to understand needs and pain points working with the UX Research team.
Understand target audiences' needs and conduct user research of competitor products.
Advocate for the user and follow user-centered design principles.
Learning and Growth
Increase knowledge base and keep up with emerging trends in the UX Design field.
Requirements
Academic Qualifications
At least an undergraduate degree or its equivalent in a commercial, financial, or quantitative discipline.
Professional Qualifications
Professional qualification in UX Design.
Experience and Skills
Preferably a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in a highly automated environment.
Experience with business analysis.
Experience with project management delivery mechanisms (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
Experience designing considered user interfaces for digital products and services.
Extensive knowledge of Figma, Adobe XD, etc.
Deep understanding of typography, color, layout, and motion design principles.
Ability to bring ideas to life using industry-standard tools: After Effects, Invision, Framer, or Principle.
Strong domain knowledge of different digital platforms (iOS/Android, Web).
Comfortable working within a fast-paced, creative, and rapidly changing environment.
Ability to meet and exceed expectations under tight timelines.
