The UICAP Outage Coordinator is responsible for documenting and managing Utilities commodity service interruptions within Maximo™ and ensuring accurate reporting to maintain readiness and informed decision-making for the Utilities Management (UM) chain of command. This role plays a vital part in tracking service performance and facilitating communication across departments to ensure mission readiness.
Responsibilities
Document all Utilities commodity service interruptions in Maximo™, ensuring that records are accurate, complete, and include related Maximo™ assets for all applicable work orders.
Ensure that SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) and SAIFI (System Average Interruption Frequency Index) metrics are updated monthly and communicated effectively to the Utilities Management chain of command.
Keep the Public Works Officer (PWO) and key stakeholders informed of metrics for full situational awareness and mission readiness.
Perform ongoing audits and reviews of service interruption documentation to ensure compliance with operational standards and readiness requirements.
Support readiness operations and facilitate critical communication between teams to address and mitigate risks associated with outages.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (KCSE).
At least two (2) years of relevant experience in Utilities operations, service management, or outage coordination.
Familiarity with Maximo™ or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Understanding of SAIDI and SAIFI metrics and their applications in utilities management processes.
