Amentum is seeking an NGIS Janitor to perform daily cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping tasks across Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (NGIS) lodging facilities. The role ensures strict compliance with Navy lodging standards to maintain a safe, sanitary, and professional environment for all guests and staff.
Responsibilities
Clean guest rooms, common areas, restrooms, hallways, offices, and storage spaces.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces, fixtures, and high-touch areas.
Remove trash, replace liners, and ensure proper disposal of waste following environmental and facility guidelines.
Restock essential supplies including toiletries, linens, and cleaning materials.
Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or facility deficiencies to supervisors.
Assist with laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens.
Support setup, staging, and cleanup for inspections, guest turnover, and special facility requirements.
Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of all janitorial equipment and storage areas.
Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards required for NGIS operations.
Communicate progress and safety concerns effectively to supervisors and Navy leadership.
Requirements and Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in janitorial services, housekeeping, or facility cleaning.
High school diploma or equivalent (KCSE) is preferred.
Must possess a valid passport (valid for at least one year beyond the hire date) and be capable of international travel.
Ability to meet and maintain specific contract medical requirements for the duration of the assignment.
Ability to obtain and maintain necessary facility credentials and authorization.
