Murang’a University of Technology (MUT) is seeking to recruit a TVET Trainer specializing in Medical Laboratory Science. Murang’a University of Technology is the successor of Murang’a University College and is located 1.5 km from Murang’a Town. The trainer will be responsible for facilitating learning and practical instruction in the niche area of Medical Laboratory Science.
Responsibilities
Facilitate learning in the niche area of Medical Laboratory Science.
Conduct assessments and evaluations of students using TVET CDACC standards.
Prepare and maintain teaching materials, including lesson plans and practical guides.
Provide guidance and mentorship to students in both academic and career development.
Ensure the proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment during training sessions.
Stay updated with industry trends to ensure training relevance.
Requirements
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory or Pharmaceutical Technology, Science Laboratory Technology, or related fields from a recognized institution.
Experience: Relevant teaching experience of at least two (2) years at the Diploma or Higher National Diploma level.
Industry Experience: Practical industry experience in related fields is an added advantage.
Professional Registration: Registered and/or licensed member with TVETA will be an added advantage.
Certification: Trained Trainer/Assessor certified by TVET CDACC will be an added advantage.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Pedagogy: Pedagogy and Practical experience in the relevant niche area will be an added advantage.
Grade: The position is classified under Grade CSG10/JG ''K''.
