As a Treasury Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the organization's liquidity, forecasting cash flows, and ensuring that all financial obligations, including foreign currency payments and inter-company loans, are met efficiently and in compliance with group policies and local laws.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Flow Management: Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate funds for operational and capital expenditures.
Payment Processing: Review supplier payment requests for completeness and ensure payments are executed by their respective due dates.
Foreign Currency Management: Analyze monthly currency liability requirements, deal competitively in foreign currency for denominated payments, and ensure timely settlement.
Reconciliation: Perform prompt and accurate bank reconciliations, investigating and clearing reconciling items on a monthly basis.
Inter-company Finance: Manage the accurate payment of interest expenses for inter-company loans and liquidate inter-company receivables to support working capital needs.
Reporting & Compliance: Prepare treasury reports as required by group policy and remit unclaimed funds to the Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA) in accordance with the law.
Stakeholder Liaison: Work with banks to ensure instructions are carried out correctly, and coordinate with internal departments for bank guarantees related to Customs and Logistics.
Systems Control: Implement and maintain robust treasury systems and internal controls.
Qualifications and Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Banking from a recognized university.
CPA (K) or an equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant post-qualification experience in a Treasury function within a large organization or a financial institution.
Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
