Job Description
Mogo Finance is seeking a Technical Support Operator for the Coastal Region - Lunga. The role involves carrying out technical operations such as motorcycle inspections, vehicle valuations, GPS tracker and SIM card installations, minor motorcycle repairs, and providing technical support to clients during the loan application process.
Key Responsibilities
Motorcycle Inspections after Repossession: Conduct thorough inspections of repossessed motorcycles to assess condition and document damages or discrepancies. Compile detailed inspection reports and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
Car Valuations and Inspections: Evaluate the value of cars using industry-standard techniques and tools, taking into account make, model, year, condition, mileage, and market trends.
GPS Tracker Installation: Install GPS trackers on cars and motorcycles to facilitate efficient monitoring and tracking for the duration of the loan. Ensure proper functionality and adherence to guidelines.
SIM Card Installation: Install SIM cards into GPS devices.
Motorcycle Repairs: Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks on motorcycles to restore operational condition. Collaborate with repair teams to address technical issues promptly.
Client Assistance during Loan Application: Offer technical guidance and support to clients throughout the loan application process and address technical inquiries regarding financing.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all vehicle inspections, valuations, installations, and repairs. Generate comprehensive reports for internal use and compliance.
Quality Assurance: Uphold high standards of quality and accuracy in all technical tasks. Continuously assess processes to identify areas for improvement.
Customer Relations: Cultivate positive relationships with clients by providing exceptional technical support and addressing concerns professionally.
Compliance and Safety: Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols during all tasks.
Inspection and Diagnosis: Conduct holistic vehicle assessments including visual checks, driving tests, warning light checks, and smoke checks. Identify and report fraudulent or tampered vehicles.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Fluent in English and Swahili
Knowledge of the Kenyan car market (e.g., model features, technical vehicle structure)
High sense of responsibility, precision, and strong priority-setting skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings
Valid Driver's License (BCE category)
