Role Overview
The Technical Intern at Mawingu is responsible for supporting field installations, equipment recovery, and customer support activities, with a particular focus on SME and Enterprise clients. This role is vital for ensuring high-quality installations, maintaining customer satisfaction, and assisting both technical and sales teams in achieving service and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Installations and Repairs: Support physical installations and repairs for SME and Enterprise clients.
- Order Management: Manage installation orders effectively to meet company revenue goals.
- Reporting: Provide timely feedback and detailed reports regarding the progress of installations.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a bridge between clients, contractors, and internal design teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Commissioning: Commission and test equipment post-installation to ensure functionality.
- Policy Compliance: Adhere to all safety and operational policies during field activities.
- Support: Be available to provide emergency technical support as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 6 months of experience in ISP (Internet Service Provider) field installations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical understanding of ISP equipment.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
- Attributes: Customer-focused with solid organizational skills.
- Preferred: Candidates who can ride motorbikes and possess a valid license are highly preferred.
- Work Area: This specific role is focused on Mariakani, though candidates should be aware of Mawingu's operations in Ukunda and Garissa.
