The client, a reputable firm specializing in taxation, accounting, and advisory services, is seeking two experienced tax professionals to join their dynamic team as Tax Associates in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Tax Associate will be responsible for:
Preparing and reviewing corporate, individual, and indirect tax returns in compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
Conducting detailed tax research and providing advisory services on complex tax issues.
Assisting clients with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring full compliance.
Supporting tax audits and liaising with regulatory authorities on behalf of clients.
Monitoring changes in tax legislation and communicating implications to clients and internal teams.
Collaborating with audit and advisory teams to provide integrated financial solutions.
Maintaining accurate and organized client records and documentation.
Preparing management reports and presentations as required.
Mentoring junior staff and assisting in professional development initiatives within the team.
Skills & Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certification: Professional certification such as CPA(T) or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 2 years and above of proven experience in a Tax and Auditing firm.
Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of corporate, personal, and indirect taxation in Tanzania. Well-versed with Tanzanian tax laws, regulations, and international tax standards.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in tax software (e.g., TIN, tax filing platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with professional client engagement.
