Job Description
As a TAPS Photographer, you will play a special role in each guest’s journey, helping them capture and take home the magic of the Mara and Amboseli. You will lead photography experiences, offer thoughtful guidance, and contribute to Angama’s storytelling through your own creative work. This role blends artistry, technical skills, and genuine human connection, always with a lightness of touch and a spirit of joy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead photography experiences for guests with care and thoughtfulness, adapting to different interests and skill levels.
Guide guests on photographic safaris, helping them capture meaningful moments in the Mara and Amboseli with attentiveness and warmth.
Host photography classes and editing sessions that are clear, engaging, and enjoyable.
Look after guest camera rentals, keeping all equipment well maintained, functional, and ready to use.
Capture and create images that reflect the spirit, story, and heart of Angama.
Work closely with guides and lodge teams to bring guest stories to life through photography and shared experiences.
Contribute high-quality images and storytelling to blogs, social media, and other communication channels.
Organise, care for, and maintain photography equipment to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Support the setup and breakdown of equipment for guest experiences and special occasions.
Collaborate with the Head of TAPS and fellow photographers to maintain a consistent and seamless guest experience.
Build strong, supportive relationships with lodge teams to ensure a joyful guest journey.
Share knowledge generously, nurturing a positive and collaborative team culture.
Deliver every interaction with warmth, attentiveness, and a genuine sense of joy.

Qualifications and Experience
BA/BSc/HND degree or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience in photography, ideally within a hospitality or safari setting.
Strong technical knowledge of cameras, lenses, and editing software.
Experience in teaching or guiding photography experiences is an added advantage.
Familiarity with the Mara and/or Amboseli landscapes and wildlife is beneficial.
