The Systems Administrator role acts as a technical support for Hyper-V, 3PAR Storage, Exchange/Office 365, Active Directory, Proxy Server, Mail Marshal, Web Marshal, SharePoint, Skype for Business, Unix systems, and Virtualization. The Systems Administrator will resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)
Systems Architecture (20%): Planning and Designing of the Servers, Storage, Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and Data Center requirements as per the business plan and technology. Ensure that servers and Data Centres are properly monitored and administered.
Systems Configuration/Deployment (20%): Installation/configuration of Servers, Storage, Windows, Microsoft Office 365. Monitoring and Capacity Planning as per the IT Polices/Standards. Provide guidance to users on features and usage.
Systems Support/Patch Management (20%): Support, Maintenance, Patching & Administration of servers (both physical and virtual), including hardware, OS (Windows), 3PAR Storage, and Microsoft products.
Active Directory/Group Policy Management (10%): Maintain Active Directory such as creating accounts, troubleshooting authentication, configuring domain controllers, managing DNS and DHCP, and implementing group policies.
Project Management (10%): Assist in implementation of projects related to Servers, Storage, Windows, Backup & monitoring in accordance with Bank’s requirements. Monitor capacity & performance of group servers to ensure optimum efficiency.
Business Continuity (10%): Disaster readiness maintenance, ensuring regular DR exercises are conducted. Assist in developing Business Continuity Plans.
Support of IT Strategy (10%): Effective integration of IT infrastructure blueprint with the bank's business direction. Ensure security against data loss, corruption, and unauthorized access. Support on-premises, hybrid, and cloud instances.
Academic & Professional Requirements
Academic: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Professional:
IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, MCSE, A+, MCITP, MCP, VCP, RHCSA).
Minimum 4 years working experience in a busy IT environment.
Hands-on experience supporting Exchange, 3PAR Storage, Proxy Server, Mail Marshal, Web Marshal, SharePoint, Skype for Business, and Virtualization.
Experience with Windows Enterprise servers and UNIX systems.
Virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware).
HP Server Platforms (rack mount and blades).
PowerShell scripting.
MS System Centre (SCCM, SCOM) Configuration.
Office 365 and Active Directory Services.
