We are seeking a Supply Projects Manager for East Africa responsible for preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned supply projects. You will be responsible for project delivery from the initiation phase until full project implementation, ensuring adherence to relevant SOPs, CPS, and financials. This role involves managing technical disciplines by involving relevant subject matter experts to plan projects, establish criteria, and coordinate project reviews.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management: Lead IDB and MB completion at the initiation phase and manage the analysis and documentation of the feasibility phase.
Planning: Establish detailed project plans (CPS) defining milestones, timescales, and resource requirements for successful execution.
Team Leadership: Lead project teams through capability and implementation phases, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and reacting to issues to deliver against the plan.
Operational Handover: Collaborate closely with local supply teams to ensure smooth handovers and start-ups.
Risk Management: Escalate potential risks to budget or timing, providing quality solutions and timescales for delivery.
Business Partnering: Deliver business analysis and advice within a discrete area of the Supply Chain, providing portfolio management.
Optimization: Partner with internal and external stakeholders and utilize advanced analytics to optimize supply chain processes, including planning and logistics management.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: BA/BSc/HND degree.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in Technical/Engineering Project management.
Expertise: Proven experience in supply chain management with keen business acumen.
Technical Skills: Design skills, project management, and knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures.
Compliance: Understanding of Safety and Quality Management.
Soft Skills: Strategic mindset, passion for innovation, excellent multitasking, and strong communication skills to navigate complexities.
