Role Overview
The Supply Chain Officer II at Rift Valley Technical Training Institute is responsible for managing central stores, maintaining ledgers, issuing goods to departments, handling quotations and Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), and ensuring precise stock-taking and store organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Receiving and keeping records of all incoming and outgoing goods from central stores.
Maintaining permanent, expendable, and consumable ledgers professionally.
Issuing goods to persons and departments at the institute.
Preparing LPOs and sending out quotations.
Verifying physical stock taking and clearance from staff and trainees who are leaving the institute.
Keeping materials in the right designated areas in the prescribed manner.
Maintaining general cleanliness and organization in the store.
Initiating physical stock taking of all institute departments/offices occasionally.
Requirements
Diploma in Supply Chain Management from a recognized examining body.
At least 3 years experience in storekeeping.
Above 25 years of age.
Must be computer literate.
Additional Requirements for Successful Candidates
Successful candidates must satisfy Chapter Six (6) requirements of the Constitution of Kenya and present the following clearances before offer letter issuance:
Clearance from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
Certificate of Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
Clearance Certificate
