Job Description
The Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ), also known as the Office of the Ombudsman, is a Constitutional Commission established under Article 59 (4) and Chapter Fifteen of the Constitution, and the Commission on Administrative Justice Act, 2011. The Commission has a mandate, inter-alia, to investigate any conduct in state affairs or any act or omission in public administration by any State organ, State or public officer in National and County Governments.
The Commission is seeking to recruit a Supply Chain Management Intern to provide administrative support within the procurement department and gain practical experience in public sector supply chain operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in collecting and compiling data for preparing procurement plans.
Assist in participating to undertake market surveys of goods, services and works.
Assist in participating in the procurement process.
Assist in controlling and rationing stores.
Assist in keeping security and safe custody of stores.
Any other duty assigned by the Commission from time to time.
Job Specification
For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:
A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Purchasing and Supplies Management, Procurement and Supplies Management, Procurement, Commerce (Supplies Management option), Business Administration (Supplies Management Option) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
