Role Overview
The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) is the regulatory agency for the ICT industry in Kenya with responsibilities in telecommunications, cyber security, e-commerce, broadcasting, multimedia, and postal/courier services. The CA is offering student attachment (internship) opportunities within the Supply Chain Management department. This role is designed for ongoing university students who demonstrate a keen interest in gaining practical experience in a dynamic regulatory environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
As an intern in the Supply Chain Management department, you will support various procurement and logistics functions, including but not limited to:
Assisting in the coordination of procurement processes and documentation.
Supporting the management of inventory and stock records.
Helping in the preparation of tender documents and requests for quotations.
Assisting in the evaluation of supplier bids and proposals.
Supporting the maintenance of the supplier database and vendor relationships.
Contributing to ensuring compliance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act and other relevant regulations.
Managing and administering the Universal Service Fund (USF) related supply chain activities.
Safeguarding the interests of users of ICT services through efficient resource allocation.
Qualifications and Requirements
Student Status: Applicants must be ongoing students in a recognized university.
Academic Background: Areas of study should align with Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Logistics.
Practical Interest: Applicants should demonstrate a keen interest in gaining practical experience in a dynamic regulatory environment in their application.
University Recommendation: Mandatory submission of a letter from the University/College recommending the applicant for attachment.
