Job Description
RFH Healthcare is looking for a Specialist Clinical Officer (Paediatrics) to provide comprehensive and high-quality medical care to paediatric patients. The role involves managing both acute and chronic childhood illnesses while ensuring specialized care for neonates, infants, and children.
Key Responsibilities
Comprehensive Care: Conduct assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for paediatric patients, including neonates, infants, children, and adolescents.
Illness Management: Manage both acute and chronic childhood illnesses in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
Specialized Neonatal Care: Provide specialized care, monitor growth and developmental milestones, and oversee routine immunization services.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to paediatric emergencies and deliver appropriate life-saving interventions.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with Paediatricians, Nurses, Nutritionists, and other teams to ensure holistic patient care.
Records Management: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical documentation.
Requirements and Qualifications
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
Higher Diploma in Paediatrics and Child Health.
Valid registration and practicing license with the Clinical Officers Council (COC).
BLS and PALS certification is an added advantage.
Minimum of 2 years post-specialization experience in a busy hospital setting.
