Job Description
Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF) is the Health Sector Board of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA). Founded in 2004, the Federation works with care providers, hospitals, pharmaceutical manufacturers and insurers to promote strategic public-private partnerships toward achieving national access to quality healthcare. KHF is seeking a dynamic and versatile Intern to support the Secretariat across a range of functions. This intern role is open to candidates from diverse professional backgrounds, including healthcare (clinical officers, doctors, nurses), business (marketing, communications, management), social sciences, public health, law, and related fields. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills, an interest in the health sector, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in drafting policy briefs, white papers, position papers, concept notes, proposals, and other technical documents.
Support the planning, logistics, and coordination of KHF meetings, forums, workshops, and events.
Attend meetings and stakeholder engagements, take accurate minutes, and track action items to completion.
Assist in preparing briefing notes, presentations, and talking points for KHF leadership.
Help coordinate multi-stakeholder convenings, including government, development partners, and private sector actors.
Manage correspondence, filing, scheduling, and logistical coordination.
Support the preparation and distribution of meeting packs, agendas, and post-meeting reports.
Assist with any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
We welcome applications from a range of backgrounds. Suitable candidates may include:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B Com) with a focus in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Medical degree or clinical training with interest in health systems and policy.
Degree in Public Health, Health Management, Social Sciences, Communications, law, or a related discipline.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce well-structured documents.
Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Genuine interest in Kenya's health sector, health policy, and private sector engagement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
