Job Description
The Sous Chef is responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the overall management and operation of the kitchen. This role involves active participation in food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety are consistently met. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in menu preparation and food production.
Supervise kitchen staff and maintain discipline.
Ensure food quality, hygiene and safety standards.
Manage inventory and reduce food wastage.
Qualifications
Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field. Qualifications equivalent to BA/BSc/HND are also considered.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a busy kitchen.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
