Rongo University is seeking a qualified Sonographer (Ref: RU/AFP/06/08/26) to join its team.
Job Description
An officer at this level shall:
Perform ultrasound scans for obstetrics (pregnancy), gynecology, abdominal, pelvic, and small parts (thyroid, testes).
Conduct vascular, heart, and musculoskeletal imaging.
Draft preliminary diagnostic reports and communicate urgent "red flag" findings to the referring physician or radiologist.
Prepare patients for various procedures and maintain patient privacy.
Follow general safety and infection control protocols.
Perform routine maintenance of the ultrasound machine and various probes.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this position, one MUST:
Have Higher Diploma in Ultrasonography and Diploma in Radiography and Imaging.
Be registered and hold a valid annual practicing license from the Radiation Protection Board (RPB).
Have Professional membership by Society of Radiography in Kenya.
