The Shift Quality Analyst provides timely analytical measurements to the operations team to guarantee Quality Assurance at every stage of production and on the finished product while meeting production targets. The role also involves providing technical support for problem-solving in operations and training operators on quality assurance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Safety: Adhere to all company safety regulations, including equipment operation guidelines, to ensure the safety of self and colleagues.
Calibration: Ensure chemical reagents and equipment are well-calibrated and monitor the performance of measuring systems.
Laboratory Analysis: Perform laboratory measurements per the sampling schedule and SOPs, ensuring 100% reliability of results.
Inventory: Real-time posting of materials out of quality stocks locations.
Process Control: Develop and sustain Statistical Process Control (SPC) for quality analysis and train operators on online meter calibration.
Quality Monitoring: Coordinate monthly samples, monitor process critical control points, and participate in inter-lab ring schemes.
Reporting: Record and report in-process quality data (IPQI) in the Harford system and initiate improvement actions.
Problem Solving: Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCPS) and 5Whys for quality failures.
Hygiene & Standards: Maintain laboratory hygiene according to food safety standards and champion 5S activities.
Compliance: Participate in internal and external audits (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSSC 22000, and BS 18001).
Operational Meetings: Participate in management control systems such as MMS, EISC, and DMAIC.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or Microbiology.
Experience: A minimum of 2–3 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge: Familiarity with Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management systems.
Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microbiology/hygiene, Brewing, and Packaging processes.
