Role Overview
The Senior Specialist, FMS Development at Save the Children is a key technical role responsible for supporting the transition of the Financial Management System (FMS) from Agresso to Oracle Fusion. This position involves collaborating with the project team on data validation, integrations, and testing, while providing ongoing support to users within an Agile framework. The successful candidate will contribute to the configuration and deployment of Oracle Fusion Financials modules and ensure system stabilization and continuous improvement post-implementation.
Principal Accountabilities
System Migration & Integration: Collaborate with the FMS transition project team to support the migration from Agresso to Oracle Fusion, including data validation, integrations, testing, and user support.
Module Configuration: Assist in the configuration, testing, and deployment of Oracle Fusion Financials modules such as GL, AP, AR, FA, and CM.
Post-Go-Live Support: Participate in activities including system stabilization, enhancement requests, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Agile Collaboration: Work as part of a Scrum team within an Agile product development environment, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Operations & Troubleshooting: Support day-to-day operations of Oracle Fusion, including troubleshooting, user access management, and service request resolution alongside other support teams.
Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and training materials to support knowledge sharing and onboarding.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with internal controls, data governance, and security standards.
Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in onboarding new team members and work collaboratively with partners, key stakeholders, and product owners to capture and prioritize new requirements.
User Support: Support global users, manage support tickets, and ensure vendor engagement and SLA compliance.
System Performance: Collaborate with IT teams to maximize system performance, ensure platform updates, and participate in regression testing where needed.
Experience and Skills
Essential:
A strong understanding of Financial and ERP systems.
Hands-on experience in the development, implementation, and management of Oracle ERP (E-Business Suite or Fusion Cloud).
Proven experience solving complex business and technical issues through troubleshooting and analysis.
Ability to quickly understand and explain complex technical and non-technical information to diverse audiences.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
Technical knowledge of SQL databases, preferably PL/SQL.
Desirable:
Experience in a Team Leader role.
A track record of administering and supporting applications in complex global organizations.
Knowledge of major cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams.
Skills in automated build and deployment processes.
Knowledge of ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
Experience or knowledge of the non-profit sector.
Education and Qualifications
Essential:
A University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
